 The Temple Structures of Bateshwar

Bateshwar Temples

One of the fine gems of the heart of India the bateshwar Temple structure are said to be build in the reign of Gurjara pratihara's the oldest temple was build in 4th century ce. The Temple's belongs Lord Shiva, Vishnu and Maa Shakti. So, let me begin how the Temple Structures was found and what was the story behind them.

The temples were found in a Devastated state whole scattered around in pieces as it was been a unsolved puzzle.
The architectural style of these temples is a testament to the early Gurjara-Pratihara style, which is a notable component of North Indian temple architecture.

The site is likely named after the Bhuteshvar Temple, and the temples are mostly small and spread over about 25 acres (10 ha) site. They are mostly dedicated to Shiva, Vishnu, and Shakti, representing the three major traditions within Hinduism. The temples were destroyed after the 13th century, possibly due to an earthquake, and were reassembled and restored by the ASI in the early 21st century. The temple complex is located about 45 minutes from Gwalior and is open every day from sunrise to sunset.

A visit to these temples can be combined with stops to the Padhavali and Mitaoli temples as well, which are less than 10 minutes away.
